They dress appropriately. They arrive in a group. They move quickly past the door. When the tab is pressed together with the correct amount of force, the adhesive bonds permanently and the serrations lock the closure mechanically. Attempting to peel the tab apart destroys the serration pattern — the wristband falls apart. There is no non-destructive way to remove it. This is not a quality defect or a design limitation; it is the point. The impossibility of non-destructive removal is the entire security mechanism.
